I managed to keep my feelings explosion over the olympic closing ceremonies over at my feelings attack tumblr (well except for accidentally posting 2 photosets to this blog before I realized it, oops).  My BBC feed gave out halfway through, but on the upside I found another one with a surprisingly clean feed, so there’s a few screen shots over there ^.^;;

TEARS FOREVER

NBC may have arguably the worst coverage of the olympics (pretty much across all gender, racial, privilege levels), but damn if the news doesn’t make me cry every night. Thank you for acknowledging this as the year of the women, for showing these amazing women fighting for their countries on a world stage for the first time,  and for recognizing Gabby and the rest of the world’s competing women’s strength. 

Olympic ladies, you rock. Thank you NBC for finally getting it, even if it was just a 2 minute segment on the nightly news. 

… omg they actually acknowledged Larissa Latynina. GOOD FOR YOU NBC, NOW KEEP IT UP.
